José Juan Macías was one of the reinforcements that most excited the Chivas supporters, since the young striker returned to Guadalajara after a great loan spell at León.
JJ Macías is already in pre-season training with Chivas but will reportedly only be with the team for the 2020 Clausura campaign.
Everything indicates that the Mexican will be the starting striker in Luis Fernando Tena’s side, so his intentions are to have another great season so that he can make the jump to European football.
According to ESPN, Ajax and Real Sociedad are monitoring the player. It’s believed that Sociedad made an offer but was below Chivas’ asking price.
In 40 matches at León, Macías scored 19 goals and led his side to the 2019 Clausura final, though he controversially skipped out on the final to participate with Mexico in the U-20 World Cup.
Mexico lost all three group stage matches by a 6-1 margin, with Macías failing to score despite playing every minute.
