A day before ore the match kicks off, Cardozo opened up on his time in charge.

“We lost course, this project should have been much longer for me, but in the end I know how I got there, and the people were never like accepting me as the manager of Chivas.

“If we won 1-0, it was because we won 1-0.

“We played a line of five because we played with a line of five. We were always under a lot of criticism,” Cardozo explained.

“I’m talking about the criticism I received as a coach. I received it because I played with a line of five instead of four.

“The games were lost or won based on luck. We were never accepted by the people of Chivas and I knew it.

“I am not even against or in favor (of the criticism), because it is normal. When a manager arrives, he has to convince the fans based on results and we did not get them.”
