América’s manager, Miguel Herrera did not hold back when talking about rivals Puma and Chivas to the press earlier this week.

Speaking to TUDN, Herrera admitted that Tigres have been growing while established teams like Pumas and Chivas have declined in production.

“Tigres have grown a lot,” says the 51-year-old. “They have added some titles to their name and are always fighting to get better.”

“You can’t even rule out Cruz Azul,” added Herrera. “They are getting bigger and are a very important team.”

However, when the conversation turned to their rivals, Herrara wasted no time pulling punches.

“Both Chivas and Pumas have lost their touch,” said the América manager. “Their quality has declined.”
