Club América traveled to Baja California to face Club Tijuana at Estadio Caliente in Liga MX matchday 13.

Manager Miguel Herrera made a number of changes to the lineup to beat Xolos in the Copa MX semi-final on Tuesday.

América kept centre forward Henry Martín but freshened the wingers around him. Andrés Ibargüen and Francico Córdova came into the lineup on either side of play-maker Nicolás Benedetti.

Mateus Uribe came off the bench in the team’s last match but gets the start against Xolos in the league.

Luis Reyes, a defender with fresh legs, also cycled into the starting XI for the Águilas while Edson Álvarez shifted into the back-line.

Tijuana now have to shift their attention away from their Copa MX run to moving into qualification places for the Liguilla.

To that end, manager Óscar Pareja started both Fabián Castillo who came off the bench on Tuesday and Gustavo Bou who stayed on the bench in that loss.
