Corinthians have been heavily lined with a move for Grêmio midfielder Luan for the 2020 season and the chase opened a new chapter on Monday.
Speaking in front of reporters, Romildo Bolzan Júnior responded to a question over who would meet Grêmio’s expectations in the event of a swap deal for Luan.
“I’m going to talk about it. Don’t make this a speculation,” he said.
“I really like Cássio, he would be an excellent Grêmio player. Fagner is a Brazilian international wing-back.
“Clayson is an important player and is also a good forward. Júnior Urso himself, I think he is an interesting defensive midfielder.
“These Corinthians players could perfectly play at Grêmio. Just to let you know, none of this has anything to do with our interests.”
On Sunday, Corinthians president Andrés Sanchez denied talks between the two clubs but maintained his interest in Luan.
The 26-year-old is under contract until the end of next year. Grêmio would ideally like to sign Luan to a new deal but the two sides have yet to come to an agreement.
