Giovani dos Santos could possibly start versus Toluca

With the injury to Nicolás Castillo, it looks like América fans will be able to see Giovani dos Santos’ debut in the starting eleven sooner rather than later.

His debut in the starting eleven could come as early as tomorrow’s clash versus Toluca.

Although dos Santos was not part of the squad versus Monterrey, the 30-year-old has made his impact known at América early on as the former Los Angeles Galaxy star has scored one goal and has one assist in just 63 minutes of playing time in two games.

Dos Santos would play behind Roger Martínez, where Castillo would usually play as the number nine.
