With eight new reinforcements at Chivas, some of the long-time players within the organization have been forced to leave in order to find first-team football.
One of those players is left-winger Gael Sandoval, who has been forced out due to Jesús Angulo’s arrival. He will join FC Juárez on loan for the entirety of 2020.
This is not Sandoval’s first involvement at FC Juárez, as he played for Los Bravos from summer 2015 to summer 2016 while they were competing in Ascenso MX.
Sandoval joined Chivas from Santos Laguna for an undisclosed fee two years ago and has played a total of 55 games, scoring five goals and contributing six assists.
The 24-year-old, who is under contract in Guadalajara until December 2022, had trouble getting game time last season, making just a pair of Liga MX starts and featuring a total of 452 minutes in all competitions.
Sandoval could immediately get a chance to face his parent club as Chivas and Juárez face off this Saturday in the 2020 Clausura opener.
