Despite a 3-0 defeat to Benfica in the International Champions Cup, Chivas boss Tomás Boy believes his side put in a decent display.
Benfica, who wreaked havoc on Chivas’ defence, comfortably defeated the LigaMX club, who were unable to find the back of the net.
“I found good things in the game we played,” Boy told the media afterwards.
“It’s not good to criticise the team, however regardless of the result I am happy.
“In general terms, I am happy [with our performance]. We had a very decent match up until the 70th minute.
“We even had the opportunity to equalise twice but had to make some changes and Benfica are a great team who took their opportunities.”
Next up for the Guadalajara outfit in the International Champions Cup is a clash with Spanish side Atlético Madrid.
