Corinthians could be set to lose some of their best talent in the coming days as the European summer transfer windows conclude.

The Corinthians board claims they have not received any official proposals for any of their players, but three players, in particular, have been watched by some of Europe’s elite for some time.

Gustagol, Gabriel, and Pedrinho could all leave for high fees, though their departures would not be an easy decision for the board or manager Fábio Carille to make, as they are all vital members of the current squad.

While intending to keep the squad to fight for the Copa Sudamericana and Brasileirão titles, Timão needs to increase revenues and quickly.

In the budget for 2019, the club estimated to receive R$50m from player sales, but at the moment, they have only received R$13.75m from the sale of Douglas to Greek side PAOK.

Pedrinho is one of the most coveted names on the market and has received recent interest from Monaco, Borussia Dortmund, and Atlético Madrid. Corinthians refuse to let him go for less than R$100m but are looking to receive R$183m.

Gabriel has received strong interest from Saudi side Al-Hilal as negotiations with their preferred target, Flamengo’s Gustavo Cuéllar, have stalled. Corinthians own 50% of Gabriel’s rights and want R$14m for the defensive midfielder.

Gustagol is Corinthians’ joint-top scorer but has missed many matches due to injury during his breakout season. He’s received plenty of interest from Serie A side Bologna, a host of German clubs, and Champions League semi-finalists Ajax.

Mauro Boselli will not leave the club despite interest from Mexico and Boca Juniors. Clayson was also the subject of a bid from Mexico earlier in the year.

Mateus Vital could also be at risk of leaving the club this summer.
