“I look for words to talk about the importance of Grêmio in my life. A club that I learned to love for everything I have been able to accomplish,” Luan posted on Instagram.

“I wore this shirt for seven years with much more glory and joy than I could imagine the day I arrived in Porto Alegre.

“I won almost everything a player can dream, but my greatest achievement was the respect and affection of everyone in the club and the fans.

“I know my name is in the history of Immortal, I always said I would only leave after I could help bring joy and this club, and today I leave with the feeling of mission accomplished.

“From now on, I will live a new career dream. Thanks to Grêmio and the supporters! I am forever grateful for everything you have done for me!”

Corinthians will open their 2020 Campeonato Paulista campaign against Botafogo-SP on 22 January.
