🎥 Club León has the cutest mascot we've ever seen

Club León now have a real-life lion as a mascot, though we don’t expect it to be problematic in the near-future.

After three lion cubs were born at the León zoo, one was gifted to the club and named Sambu after the club’s newest signing, 34-year-old midfielder Rubens Sambueza.

Of course, the club posted a very adorable video to announce Sambu’s arrival.

Sambueza expressed his enthusiasm in joining his new club after two years at Toluca.

“I am very enthusiastic and eager to do great things,” he said. “I also want to meet the new member of the family that has my name. It is a great club, with great fans, board and players. I will soon be there.”

Club León finished 14th place in their Liga MX Apertura campaign and will need all of Sambu’s help in order to make it to the Liguilla next season.
