Tijuana’s 4-0 victory over Puebla on Saturday means we now know how the Liga MX Liguilla is likely to shape up.

That result clinched the eighth and final play-off seed for Oscar Pareja’s side.

They will join León and Tigres, who entered the final weekend of the regular season with first and second spots already locked down.

Provided Monterrey don’t lose by four goals or more when they take on Atlas on Sunday, they will seal third place, meaning they will take on sixth-placed Necaxa in the first round of the play-offs.

And that would also mean the enticing prospect of a Clásico Joven between Club America and Cruz Azul in the quarter-finals.

The two Mexico City giants met in the Liga MX final of the previous tournament.

Assuming Rayados avoid a heavy defeat to Atlas, the play-offs will look like this …

(1) Leon vs. (8) Tijuana

(2) Tigres UANL vs. (7) Pachuca

(3) Monterrey vs. (6) Necaxa

(4) Cruz Azul vs. (5) Club América

The league will announce the official dates and times of each match on Monday.
