Chivas are just two points out of eighth place and Chofis believes he is partially responsible for the team’s success.

“These 15 days are a good time to prepare myself well. I know I have to do my bit to get the team back on track.

“In the friendly against Zacatepec (on Saturday) we do not have to relax. Those matches serve to gain confidence and maintain a good level.

“Between my team-mates, we must be united and not give up.

“I feel very happy and grateful to God.

“Actually, I worked very well to return to top condition and I hope I can be ready to play against Pumas.

“In the U-20 match against Chivas, I played a few minutes and I felt better than I expected.

“It’s a good sign that I’m doing well in my recovery work.”

Chivas will next be in action on 31 March against fellow strugglers Pumas.
