Two players with Chivas connections are among the top five Mexican goalscorers of 2019.
Carlos Vela of MLS side Los Angeles FC tops the charts with 34 goals, way ahead of José Juan Macías with 19.
Macías registered his goals with León, but has signed with Chivas for next season as he looks to progress his career to a higher level.
Third on the list is Alan Pulido on 16 goals. The 28-year-old’s exploits with Chivas earned him a move north of the border and he will be lining out for Sporting Kansas City next season.
Raúl Jiménez of Wolverhampton Wanderers and América’s Henry Martín fill the final two positions, with the latter still able to add to his tally in Sunday’s Apertura final second leg against Monterrey.
