José Juan Macías is expecting an “emotional” game next week when the he faces former side León for the first time returning since from the Guanajuato outfit.
Macías spent last season on loan at León before deciding to return to Guadalajara where he had come up through the youth ranks.
“Personally it will be a very emotional game. I will try to enjoy it to the fullest and we are going for the win,” the 20-year-old told the official Chivas website.
León are currently second in Liga MX, one point behind leaders América.
Chivas, meanwhile, are plodding away in ninth.
Their situation improved on Friday night when an early goal from Macías helped them to a 1-0 win on the road at Club Tijuana.
Speaking about that victory, Macías said: “I am very happy because we resume the path of triumph and also because I had to do the goal, which is the work of the whole team.”
Chivas will host León at the Estadio Akron next Sunday.
