Marco Fabián appears to be ever closer to joining Chivas next season to join them in their fight against relegation.

Paco Montes, a reporter for Fox Sports in Mexico, has said that negotiations between the Chivas board and Marco Fabián are well underway.

Amaury Vergara is believed to have been in contact with the player, whose contract with Philadelphia Union ends in December, though the Union have a two-year club option.

It’s believed that if no other offer appears in Major League Soccer, he would return to Mexico to play for Chivas in 2020.

Chivas are currently in 17th place in Liga MX and are currently on a four-match winless run in the league. Chivas are winless in 13 road matches as well.
