Chivas have made contact with Julen Lopetegui | OneFootball

After the dismissal of José Saturnino Cardozo, the Chivas management immediately began to work on finding his replacement.

In fact, before the Paraguayan left, there was talk that they were looking for a manager with a European profile who’s a well-known name in football.

Well, it appears that they may have found their man.

According to Univision, former coach of Real Madrid and the Spanish national team is the number one name on their list and Chivas has already made contact with the 52-year-old.

Univision reports have also stated that Chivas have already sent representatives to Spain to try to negotiate with Lopetegui, who has already been in charge of Mexican players at Porto.

In addition to Lopetegui, John Van’t Schip, Juan Carlos Osorio, Antonio Mohamed and Francisco Palencia are the other names rumored to be in the running.
