Centre-back and Chivas captain Jair Pereira will likely be the first casualty of Tomás Boy era.
Tomás Boy signed a contract with Chivas for two years, a change that will likely leave Pereira searching for a new job.
The exit of the defender is practically a fact, because Boy does not like him due to his lack of speed and his injury history, so Chivas have already begun the search for a new partner for Hiram Mier.
Leading the list of names to replace Pereira is Antonio Briseño of Portuguese side Feirense. The 25-year-old, who has played every minute for Feirense in Liga NOS this season, will be available on a free as his contract expires in June.
Cruz Azul’s Cata Dominguez and Chivas U-20 captain Gilberto Sepulveda are also being considered.
