Luis Fernando Tena was pleased with the performance after his 10-man Chivas side drew 2-2 with Toluca on Saturday.
The second half dismissal of Ronaldo Cisneros was the turning point of the game.
Chivas were leading 2-1 at that point, thanks to goals from Fernando Beltrán (20) and a 55th-minute penalty converted by Javier Eduardo López.
However, the second yellow card shown to striker Cisneros in the 62nd minute gave the visitors a numerical advantage they made good use of.
“It was a game of alternating dominance,” Chivas boss Tena told reporters afterwards.
“They started better, but then we played much better. We had control of the ball and made the goal.

“In the second they tie us and then we could go up. Then comes the expulsion and conditioned the actions, and Toluca took advantage of it.”
Los Rojiblancos currently sit fifth in the Liga MX table after one win and two draws fro their opening three Clausura 2020 games.
