On Tuesday, the Chivas medical team reported that defender Miguel Ponce has severe pain in right adductor muscles and rectus abdominis.
The pain worsened during the past week and therefore was already being treated.
In addition, an MRI was taken and inflammatory changes were observed, so the diagnosis is currently a strained groin.
His injury will make miss an estimated time of 15 days.
Given the approximate timeline, Ponce is set to miss matches against Pumas and Lobos BUAP.
He would likely be a match-time decision for their game at Monarcas on Sunday, 13 April.
