Former Chivas manager and number 10 Chepo de la Torre voiced his opinion on the horrible form Chivas have been in.
Chivas are currently tied with Querétaro at the bottom of next year’s relegation table and the 53-year-old slammed the current players for not living up to the shirt.
“Many players do not understand what Chivas is or how much the shirt weighs. Chivas have around 40 million fans and the shirt represents a great institution.
“Chivas has a great 100-year history.
“I do not like that Chivas have played this badly. It’s not good for the club nor for Liga MX. It hurts us and it affects us a bit to see them in this situation.
“For the issues of relegation yes, it is also possible to see them pay not to go down.”
Chivas finish the 2019 Clausura season against leaders Club León and Tigres.
