Things are going from bad to worse for Antonio Conte and Chelsea, as a merry-go-round of injuries is showing no signs of slowing down.

N’Golo Kanté made his return immediately before the international break, having missed all of October through injury.

Now his midfielder partner Tiémoué Bakayoko could be sidelined again.

Bakayoko has reportedly hobbled out of France training while on international duty and was unable to join in with his France team-mates on Saturday. The midfielder was not even named on the bench in Friday’s 2-0 defeat of Wales.

Signed from Monaco in the summer, Bakayoko’s Chelsea career got off to a delayed start as the 23-year-old recovered from a knee issue.

Deadline day signing Danny Drinkwater has only just returned from injury to make his long-awaited debut. However, he turned down an England call up last week to work on his fitness.

Gary Cahill and Michy Batshuayi have also picked up injuries while on international duty and missed draws for England and Belgium respectively on Friday.
