América are a world-class team and this stat proves it.

The fourth-placed team in Liga MX currently have 22 players out on international break, including eight players on senior teams.

Of those in the senior squad, Edson Álvarez and Jorge Sánchez have been called up to El Tri while Agustín Marchesín and Guido Rodríguez are representing Argentina.

Bruno Valdez will wear the colors of Paraguay and Ecuadorian Renato Ibarra will attempt to improve on his 40 caps.

Chilean Nicolás Castillo will face off against two of his Mexican team-mates while Mateus Uribe has joined Colombia for their Asian tour, as they face Japan and South Korea.

In addition, two players from their women’s side (Ximena Rios and Jana Gutierrez) will represent Mexico at the U-20 and U-17 levels, respectively.

América also have 12 players representing Mexico at various youth levels. Insane.
