“We made a strong investment this season and perhaps, I cannot compare myself with other clubs, but this was not the ideal time for this to happen, for anyone, but more so for Chivas.

“Let’s say that our buys were very well planned. If everything was back to normal, we could make all the payments on the investments we made.

“This issue that the league is concluded and a champion is named seems to me to simply be a rumour.

“It has not been talked about at all between owners or the sporting directors of the clubs, rather we are constantly reassessing when a possible return date would be.

“There have even been some dates in May, June, or July and depending on that date we will see that we will have time to see if the tournament can be compressed and finish the way that has to end.

“I would say that the position of Chivas and most of the clubs is to continue the tournament.”
