Brazilian Aílton da Silva played for 13 different teams in five countries from 1996 to 2011, and aside from a Pumas stint from 2002 to 2007, he never stuck around for more than a season or two.
da Silva had a lot of experience in Mexico, playing for five different clubs in Liga MX, and ahead of Pumas’ match with Chivas this weekend, he took some shots at the Guadalajara club.
“Chivas is a small club in numbers, but it’s a big name.
“I have nothing against Chivas, but in football, other clubs like Club América, Tigres, and Monterrey have a very big advantage because they sign foreign players.
“América has been one of the effective teams in recent years, and like Tigres and Monterrey, they are always in the finals.”
