After landing in Saudi Arabia to complete his deal with Al-Hilal, which fell through after Gustavo Cuéllar accepted a move from Flamengo, midfielder Gabriel should have his contract renewed with Corinthians.

The agent of the player, who has a contract until the end of 2020, will discuss a salary bump as well as an extension of Gabriel’s contract with the Corinthians board.

In addition to the renewal, Gabriel and his representatives will sue FIFA for not accepting the contract, which the 27-year-old signed.

Gabriel is looking for the entire amount of his two-year deal with the Saudi club, which would have seen him earn a staggering R$20.8m (€4.6m).

Corinthians may also look to sue FIFA for €5.5m (R$24.85m) and demand that Al-Hilal should have been made to pay the full amount.
