Jérémy Ménez announces Club América exit

Striker Jérémy Ménez has taken to Instagram to confirm his departure from Club América.

After Miguel Herrera had openly criticised the Frenchman during a press conference for his attitude, the player has now said farewell to fans.

His contract had been set to expire in December but has now been terminated early by the club.

“I’m announcing my departure from the club after two very rewarding seasons,” the former Milan man wrote.

“I want to thank the fans for the incredible welcome they gave me and the club for their dedication, as well as the team-mates I played with.

It is speculated that the 32-year-old will now return to his homeland for the final stages of his career.
