América has added new reinforcements for the 2020 Clausura Tournament, but as some arrive, others leave the team in search of new opportunities.
One of those is centre-back Carlos Vargas, who has officially left the club to join Monarcas. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The 20-year-old featured a whopping 72 times for the Eagles after joining from Xolos in summer 2017.
Last season, Vargas played just eight times for a total of 508 minutes. His lone Liguilla appearance came as an emergency substitute in América’s 2-0 first-leg defeat against Monarcas.
