Just when it looked as if Tomás Boy and company were set to push away the naysayers to the side until this weekend’s Súper Clásico, Pachuca came roaring back with a trio of late goals to defeat Chivas 4-2 and put Boy’s job in further jeopardy.
Franco Jara opened up proceedings by converting a penalty in the 17th minute before Isaác Brizuela equalised on the stroke of half-time.
10 minutes into the second half, Chofis LĂłpez delivered a perfect cross that Alan Pulido headed home to give Chivas a 2-1 lead.
15 minutes later, VĂctor Guzmán headed home a Rubens Sambueza cross of his own to draw the score level once again.
Eight minutes later, Jara would complete his brace and the Pachuca comeback after an unlikely terrible backpass from Antonio Briseño set the Pachuca striker in alone with the goalkeeper.
Edwin Cardona would kill off the game in stoppage time to round out the scoring.
