It’s hard to believe that Carlos Salcido has just turned 40 years old and Chivas decided to celebrate the occasion with an emotional tribute on their social networks.
The 124-time Mexico international and 2012 Olympic champion spent most of his career with Chivas, making his debut in 2001 before making his European debut in 2006 with PSV.

After becoming a mainstay at PSV and a brief stint with Fulham, Salcido returned to Mexico to play for Tigres from 2011 to 2014.
However, his love for his boyhood club couldn’t be denied and Salcido spent another four years at Chivas before finishing his career last season with Veracruz.
It was always a pleasure to watch him work his magic and he will always be remembered as one of the most influential Mexican footballers to ever play the game.
