It’s only four days before the start of the 2020 Clausura campaign and the new-look Chivas side looks ready to contend for the title immediately.
Chivas finished off their pre-season slate on Saturday with a 2-0 victory on the road over Necaxa with goals from Eduardo López and Jesús Angulo – the latter’s first goal in a Chivas shirt.
The other three games ended in victory as well, making Chivas a perfect four-for-four going into their season-opening clash with FC Juárez.
In Mérida, Oribe Peralta got his pre-season started with the game’s only goal as Chivas took home the glory in front of a festive crowd in the Yucanan.
JosĂ© Juan MacĂas delivered on his first game back in a Chivas shirt, scoring a brace in his first half-hour on the pitch to lead Chivas to victory.
Chivas dominated the match and should have won by a much larger margin, but Ronaldo Cisneros was there to rescue Chivas from an unsatisfactory result.
